Jajangmyeon
Ingredients:
About 4 servings
1/2 lb any meat of choice (cut into cubes)
1 cup of zucchini, cut into ½ inch cubes
1 cup of potato, peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
1 cup of onion cut into 1/4in pieces
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
4 tbsp of Black bean paste
2 tablespoons potato starch combined with ¼ cup water and 1 teaspoon of sugar in a small bowl
1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil
½ cup cucumber, cut into thin sticks for garnish
Jjajangmyeong noodles (about 24 oz) (boiled then and washed with cold water to remove excess starch) Choose whatever noodle is your favorite, thick udon, thinner wheat noodles, etc.
Instructions:
First cook bean paste and 2 tablespoons of oil until fragrant then set aside.
Sautéed the rest of THE oil with onions til soft then add the meat and the rest of the vegetables. Cook til everything is cooked 80%
add in the cooked bean paste and the starch water mixture.
Cook thOroughly and serve on top of noodles. Then topped with the cucumbers slices.
