Vegan/Tofu Potstickers

Filling Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb firm tofu

  • 1/4 head of cabbage

  • 1 small carrot

  • 4 whole dehydrated or fresh shitake mushrooms 

  • 1-inch knob of garlic

  • 3 cloves ginger

  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tsp oil of choice

filling Instructions:

  • In a food processor/blender chop cabbage, carrot, mushrooms, garlic, and ginger into a very fine chop. 

  • In a bowl add the mixture, soy sauce, oil, white pepper, and tofu (crumple it with your hands into small pieces). Mix well.

  • In a pan, on medium heat, add oil and the mixture and saute for 2-4 mins until 75% cooked. Taste and add more of what you think is missing according to your palate.

  • Add to your dumpling wrapper, roll to use the desired shape, and steam for 4-6 mins, until dough and filling are cooked.

  • Serve with your favorite sauce, and enjoy!
